Owner's Notes:
1999 Cruisers Yachts 3750
In the surveys we had performed in May 2020, Perfect is evaluated as "average" condition, with a "fair market value" of $105k and an "estimated replacement cost" of $629k. Replacement cost has probably increased somewhat, due to our major electronics upgrades, but our evaluation of her "fair market value" today is at approximately $150k. To understand our assessment, one must realize the transformation of the vessel from May 2020 until today.

Mechanical Equipment
The accompanying photographs and documents (the Manufacturer's Brochure, the Owner's Manual, and the 2020 professional vessel and engine surveys ) provide a comprehensive catalog of the equipment currently aboard Perfect.
Annotated photographs document major component replacements and significant additions to Perfect's mechanical equipment inventory. Notable upgrades include:
Major recent propulsion system renovations
- A new turbocharger for each propulsion engine
- A new transmission for each propulsion engine
- A new engine coupler for each propeller shaft
- A new cutlass bearing for each propeller shaft
- Two new bronze rudders
- Two propellers refurbished, reshaped & rebalanced
- Two propeller shafts refurbished & rebalanced
- New engine mounts where required for realignment
- The complete realignment of each propulsion train
Perhaps the greatest recent operational enhancements of Perfect are in her navigation electronics. A NMEA 2000 electronics backbone was added that leads to a control- integration console. This console ties the output of each of Perfect's navigation devices together at one massive, 12" touch-screen control console, where the captain can display and control all of the following devices:
- Simrad NSS evo3 "auto port to port" chartplotter
- Simrad AP44 autopilot
- Simrad Dome Array Radar
- Simrad RS35 VHF/AIS radio
- Lowrance HDS7 FishFinder/ChartPlotter *
- RayMarine Depth Sounder *
- ( * = redundant to the Simrad devices)
The console contains slots for navigation chart 'chips' and memory expansion 'chips', a GPS receiver that provides location and speed-over-ground data, and both WIFI & bluetooth interfaces, through which the console can be remotely monitored and commanded via a Smartphone app provided from Simrad.
No captain should rely upon only a single navigation device, so Perfect has redundancy of all her critical navigation systems whereby each device providing input to the central console can operate independently; GPS provides speed, and thru-hull transducers provide depth & fishfinder data to the console, but the Lowrance HDS7 also presents all that data independantly from thru-hull transducers, and the RayMarine Digital Depth sounder backs up the Lowrance depth readings
