A. BOTTINO design + engineering: Mr. Bottino is a well known Naval Engineer and Architect in the today´s performance sailing yacht market. His experience began at the family shipyard also dividing his time between studying, researching and racing sailboats. Reference projects started at Aries Shipyard between 1.994 and 2.000. In the last 15 years a partner relationship at Soto Acebal Naval Architects resulted in several top quality design sailboats like : Wally 100´ Alexia, Wally 130´, Solaris 44, Solaris 37, Solaris 42, Solaris 72, Solaris 58, IRC52, Camiranga Canting keel 65´, ORC 42, Schooner 172´,Soto 40 among others. Visiting MCP SHIPYARD facilities and knowing the yard 35 years history he said: `So good to be here…`
MCP team is proud to have Mr. Bottino at our side.
The SILVER BULLET 100 is a modern and comfortable SLOOP with a saloon on the middle deck. Its configuration and design result in spaces only available on larger boats.
An unobstructed deck with sails and rails so that the boat can be sailed around edges without effort and manoeuvres (self tacking jib) makes this 100-footer an easy boat to steer, possibly in two people for safety reasons. The helms and their consoles are arranged in the aft area of the saloon cockpit, but covered whenever necessary by an electrically operated HARD TOP that can be closed in seconds for acclimatisation (air conditioning, protection from the wind, rain or sun).
A deck area between the turnstiles has been designed aft of the Cockpit Saloon to give ample room for manoeuvres during social sailing or a regatta. At the stern, the project includes a terrace by the sea protected from the wind and sun by a retractable Bimini awning, where cushions and benches give free rein to the imagination of a life full of peace contemplating the wake of the boat cutting through the blue sea disappearing into the distance without any noise, without stress... In the same space, large windows aft of the master cabin give an external touch to the immensity of the internal cabin, giving the owner a unique space on a boat of this size.
This terrace has been designed to carry a Jet Ski when sailing if the Owner likes to divide his time between 'la Dolce Vitta' and a bit of adrenaline with the Jet Ski. A built-in boom extension manoeuvres the Jet Ski into the water without the need for a dinghy davit. No equipment that takes away from the clean look of the deck, no unnecessary weights. Everything simple and perfect....
When at anchor, the SILVER BULLET is equipped with a hydraulic platform that substantially increases what we call the "beach on the sea" way of living... A hydraulic retractable keel varies the boat's draft from 4.5 metres (sailing at high efficiency) to 2.5 metres when entering harbours and marinas or approaching a beach or narrow cove.
The support dinghy is transported on the forward deck, an area which, as well as being used for the dinghy and the transport of an asymmetric balloon, also becomes a saltwater swimming pool for late afternoon fun. The dinghy is launched into the water using the halyard of the asymmetric balloon. Once again, we don't need boat davits, heavy equipment that would remove our 'clean' concept from the deck. Less weight, less maintenance and more detail in the lines. Every detail in the design is aimed at simplicity of use and less maintenance. Experience gained from thousands of miles sailed and decades spent on every ocean on the planet.
Space and comfort are not compromised by the vessel's modern and aggressive design. The mid-deck layout of the saloon creates comfort and differentiated aesthetic environments, while at the same time generating excellent maintenance space for the equipment, which is encapsulated in a watertight and soundproof space. From the saloon, through windows in the side and on the deckhouse, views and landscapes of the maritime environment are at your fingertips. Owner's suite aft with huge windows overlooking the stern and the sea. Three guest suites. One aft of the saloon with a bathroom reversible into a toilet. Two forward of the saloon, one with a double bed and the other with single berths, large galley forward along with accommodation (two crew cabins). Main deck with only one level along the entire length up to the aft terrace area. Invisible drop anchor, mooring locker and anchor winch below deck, bow thruster, hydraulic easy reefing boom... a dream...
