During 1963-1973 “Grand Banks" were made in Hong Kong. Over 365 were built there. Highly regarded woodenboat builders, these vessels were built with yacal frames (yacal is a termite resistant and very strong hardwood) mahogany hulls, and decks with high quality teak throughout. From 1974 and beyond “Grand Banks” were built of fiberglass in the Singapore yards.

Handsome golden Burmese teak was used both above and below deck, a Grand Banks trademark that repeats itself throughout this yacht, and is much higher quality than modern laminates used.
