Most Captains often tell us that we have the best Engine rooms they have ever seen! With full-standing headroom and generous access to all components. The area is well hit with upgraded LED lighting. There are (4) blowers to cool the space down after a run, and the area is air-conditioned, to ensure maintenance and inspections are done in comfort. Each diesel engine has dual redundant Racor fuel filters. The fuel system is upgraded with 1930 gallons of fuel that can be filled from either side of the protected exterior walkway. The engine beds are solid polished stainless steel and secure the engine vibration isolation mounts to the stringers. They run all the way past the transmissions to accept the thrust load of the aqua drive units. The dripless shafts seals have a crossover tube that supplies water from both engines so you can safely run on one engine if needed. At the outboard Aft corners of the Engine room, you will find twin sea chests to provide raw water flow to each of the engines, generator, A/C system, etc. All components of the yacht that require raw water have their own shut-off valve on the sea chest, so individual components can be isolated easily. Having one thru-hull opening for each sea chest, and a watertight engine room door vastly reduces possible leak points and ensures the vessel maintains a high level of seaworthiness and safety.
